Dr. Angie Atwood
Dr. Atwood joined the CU family in 2006 when the ADN program accepted it’s first class of nursing students. Her clinical experience consists of medical-surgical, telemetry, ICU, ER, and travel nursing. While she enjoys several avenues of nursing, she finds emergency nursing, nursing education, and medical foreign missions most fulfilling. She is a 1998 ADN graduate, 2004 BSN graduate, and a 2007 MSN graduate of Western Kentucky University. She completed her Doctor of Philosophy in Education with an emphasis in nursing education from Capella University in 2017. Dr. Atwood, her husband, and two children reside in Greensburg Kentucky. She enjoys spending time with her family, providing a home to children in foster care, teaching Sunday School, participating in church activities, cooking, traveling, and Haiti mission trips. With a thankful heart she loves the Lord and gives him all the praise for the abundance of blessings in her life.
