What are Campus Ministries?
Campus ministries are religious organizations or groups that operate within universities and colleges, dedicated to providing spiritual guidance, support, and resources to students. Their main purpose is to help students explore and deepen their faith while navigating the challenges of college life.
These ministries offer a safe space for students to connect with others who share their beliefs and values. Activities often include Bible studies, prayer groups, worship services, and community service projects. By fostering a sense of community, campus ministries create a supportive environment where students can find belonging and develop lifelong friendships.
One of the key benefits of campus ministries is their focus on students' spiritual growth. College is often a time of self-discovery and questioning for many young adults. Campus ministries provide opportunities to explore faith, ask deep questions, and engage in meaningful discussions about life's purpose and meaning. Through mentorship, counseling, and spiritual guidance, campus ministries help students develop a strong foundation of beliefs and values that can guide them throughout their college journey and beyond.

If you are looking for more hands-on involvement, volunteering within campus ministries is a great option. Our ministries often collaborate with local organizations to serve the community through outreach programs, charity events, and mission trips. By participating in these volunteer opportunities, you not only make a positive impact on the lives of others but also develop valuable leadership and teamwork skills.
Participating in campus ministries offers numerous benefits to students. Additionally, campus ministries offer opportunities for personal growth and self-reflection. Through various spiritual practices such as prayer, meditation, and reflection, you can deepen your understanding of yourself and your relationship with a higher power.

Campus Ministries Function
Campus Ministries functions as an overarching spiritual life department that houses different areas of ministries. Currently these are the main student groups that falls under campus ministries umbrella: (there are many other programs and groups, but these are the primary weekly groups).
- Ministry Council — includes Discipleship Team, Community Team and Worship Team
- FCA - Fellowship of Christian Athletes
- His Words Not Mine
- Delight Women's Ministries
- Monday Funday
- Tuesday Night Live
These do not function as peer groups as they are directly connected and assisted by the university. There are other ministry programs, but these are the main weekly student ministries. We do not have CRU represented on campus currently. We have developed the office of campus ministries to house all student ministry efforts on campus. We've tried to really focus efforts well to create a solid spiritual formation ecology with a small group of students and so many opportunities.
Churches are another major contributor to student groups represented.
